Life as a young mom

ok so earlier i mentioned, or better yet warned all mommies out there to not buy so many baby toys, or to maybe not buy NONE at all…… lol! pssh yeah right huh?!

We all know we’re eventually going to bend and end up buying baby/infant toys nomatter what..

So if you  really cant help yourself, like I. I would recommend buying something like the exersaucer we did, its a little pricey but worth it, heres the one we bought, we bought it for about $120, but i seen it on sale the other day for $99.99

Not the best colors in the world but, It really kept my son occupied while i cooked or cleaned a little, and as you can see its 3 in 1, a saucer, playmat, and a standup activity center. My son still has It and still plays with it, hes on stage 3 now:)

another great little Toy we bought was a little Carseat mobile, its great for entertaining them on the go

I couldnt find the exact one we have but it looks alot like this one, the frog has a little mirror on its belly and the dangling characters crinkle, rattle and squeak. He actually played with this more than twice lol

mmm lets see what other one….. oh! The FisherPrice lights and sounds progector thingy! this one retails for about $20

this litte projector is a life saver! it would put the baby to sleep in about 5mins, even me! it has lullabies, classical, and nature sounds plus 3 different slides you could project on your ceiling or wherever according to your babys age.

Also this Oh so Famous Fisherprice Rainforest Mat. My son actually really liked it and it really incouraged him to try to grasp the litte toys. It retails for about $60.

These are seriously the only babytoys i dont regret getting. All the rest like rattles and squeaky toys, etc.. probably entertained me more than they did him lol.

Ok so, My son Received sooooo many toys for Christmas, I couldnt even Imagine what my House would look like after they were all out the box..(although I gotta admit, i still get a little excited opening Baby toys). Wich Is Exactly what I was getting at.

If theres One of the Biggest Tips Im going to Give all new mommies out there, It is: DO NOT BUY SO MANY BABY/INFANT TOYS!

trust me you wont regret it, and your baby could really care less if you bought him/her that precious FisherPrice toy you seen the other day.

I truly believe we get more Kick out of buying toys than the babies do playing with them, No seriously.

Take me for example. When my son was  just born, I would Go absolutely Bananas In babies R’us. Looking at all The Cute baby clothes and baby toys, Especially the Baby toys. I bought so much crap, and all my son wanted to do the first 3 months was eat,sleep, poop, and sleep some more. he could care less if i spent almost 20 dollars on a measly little toy that rattles and crinkles.

anyways, so i bought the adorable must-have baby toys, any price, any brand, HE HAS IT. now the problem is: I HAVE ABSOLUTELY NO IDEA WHAT DO WITH THEM. They are all almost brand new! I mean yeah, he grabbed one here and there and chewed on it, shook it a little then threw it, But that was about all the action those baby toys ever seen!

Now theyre all here in a box right next to me, And my now 14Month old son is over there pushing a pot around… A POT!!!!! so many toys, and he plays with a POT!!!!!!

He has like 4 toys that he could push around while he walks, 3 ride on little cars, A ball pit, an elmos restaurant, a exersaucer 3 in 1 thingy (wich by the way was actually the best toy we could of gotten, and should of been the last). plus all the other toddler toys he just received for christmas! .. and , hes playing with the pot..

See what my point is?… No point in spending so much money on baby toys.. Maybe when theyre older they might injoy their toys more, ( my son is only a year so i wouldnt know) But i do know Babies Could really care less!

so I was browsing the Toys R us Website for potential christmas Gifts for My one year old, and 2mins later I somehow end up browsing through Double strollers!

OMG i found the most beautiful, perfect Double stroller ever!

isnt it lovely?! Its Graco In G Galore (ahh, even the name is lovely)

then from there i went to the bassinets, playpen, playmats, fisherprice, infantino, tiny baby clothes… , I could go on forever!

I want another baby so bad now.. I wonder, perhaps i want the BABY STUFF more than i want the baby… you think?

Maybe, but then what explains the feeling of wanting to hold and care for a newborn?.. I dont know.. I never felt this way before. I blame it all on my Bestfriend, she too has a one year old (but she has a baby girl), and she is already about to give birth to her 2nd in january.. anywho, she recently had her baby shower, wich i attended, and i gotta tell ya, seeing all that baby stuff was driving me insane! i wanted it ALLL!!! I was just sitting there secretly wishing i was the one pulling out the little onsies and socks from the gift bags.

I might be pregnant at the moment but thats what i thought last month , all my dreams where crushed when aunt flow came knocking. That witch!

So yeah, hubby doesnt mind having another one, and i really want my son to have a brother or sister close to his age (not 6 years apart like my sister and i).

Somedays i think “well, i dont think we can even AFFORD to have a baby”. but then again.. you can never AFFORD to have a baby. You know what i mean?

ahh, only time will tell..
